Have you ever bought a new car and gotten a spare tire? Usually these are temporary, compact tires that don't last very long when on the road. Compact tires are made for a one-time use. Once you get back on the road, you should head to the nearest shop to get your original tire patched or replaced. While they work out great for a short-term fix, there are a lot of problems with continuing to drive on a temporary tire. For one, it can cause your tires to become unbalanced.

The Dolan Running Series kicks off at the end of April and we cannot wait to see an explosion of running in the heart of the Biggest Little City!

Dolan Lexus is proud to host a Girls on the Run event under our roof and we have been looking forward to it for months! On April 24, 2018 the Girls on the Run Limitless Potential Breakfast will be taking place complete with a healthy meal and amazing and inspirational speakers.

Dolan Auto Group looks forward to any opportunity to support local youth and schools. This year the King’s Academy has decided to bring their silent auction event to Dolan Lexus in hopes of raising more funds than ever before for their school! We are so happy to support them as they work hard to give their students the very best education and academic experience each year.

The Builders Association of Northern Nevada has been a community partner of Dolan Auto Group’s for a handful of years now. It has been a privilege to support them and watch their annual event grow. We are so happy to host their Love by the Glass event for the third year in a row at our Dolan Lexus store.

Each and every component of your engine cooling system must work in concert to keep your motor cool and undamaged. Key to this process are the cooling system hoses that transport coolant through the network.

Over time, wear and tear can break down the structures of even the most durable hoses. When this happens, replacement is the prescription. That being said, if replacement hoses don't fit the specifications of the cooling system in which they are installed, problems may occur.

Almost every driver has to deal with a dead battery eventually. That's why it's important to understand the basics of jump-starting your battery. As long as you have access to jumper cables and a car with a usable battery, a simple jump-start may help you drive your car home.

To facilitate the process, bring the cars as close together as possible, with their noses almost touching. Turn both cars off, and then attach the jumper cables to the two car batteries. The positive clamps are attached to the positive battery terminals, and vice versa. 

The Education Alliance of Washoe County provided us with a wonderful opportunity to do JUST that- learn and celebrate! The alliance asked Ryan Dolan to be a Principal for a Day at Peavine Elementary School.
