Their vision is to act on transforming our community with the ultimate goal of eradicating commercial sexual exploitation. They aim for victims to reach their fullest potential, and Awaken aspires to be an inspirational model for other communities. Their heroic team conducts outreach and provides services for those transitioning out of sex trafficking focusing on restoration, prevention and city transformation.
- Restoration: Through programs, they are able to offer help to participants with long-term and emergency needs including basic outreach, mentorship services, counseling, transitional housing, transportation, financial aid for college, legal and medical assistance, and much more!
- Prevention: Awaken offers preventative education efforts targeting youth. They present at school assemblies, deliver classroom-based curriculum to students and work with youth groups to talk to local students about the realities of human trafficking and how to prevent it from happening to them and their loved ones. Working with high schools and universities across Northern Nevada.
- City Transformation: They aim to educate and empower individuals with the information and resources they need to combat sex trafficking and CSE. Awaken offers year-round workshops and training for law enforcement, hospitals, social service providers, and faith-based groups.
The services provided by the Awaken team have profoundly impacted the community by making major strides to eradicate sex trafficking, restore women and children affected, and transform our community. Team Dolan is honored in supporting Awaken Reno as they fight every day to end all sex trafficking in our community.
