2020 has been a tough year to say the least, and everyone has felt the repercussions in big and small ways. It has been difficult, but one thing we know for sure-- we are stronger together!

In order to bring a little light into the darkness of this tough time the #BeALightCampaign was started. Reminding us to care for others as we all navigate this trying time.

The Challenge
The Reno Rodeo Association challenged Dolan Auto Group and Dolan Dodge Ram FIAT to be next up for the #BeALightCampaign and we have been extremely excited to be included and to take on the challenge! Few things are more important to Team Dolan than giving back to the wonderful community we call home, so we jumped at the chance to be a light.

The idea is to do something for someone you don’t know. Do something to brighten their day and bring a smile to their face. Then, turn around and challenge three other business or individuals to do that same! Keeping the movement going as long, and as far and wide, as possible.

After scheming and planning the perfect way to bring a smile to some of our smallest community members we were ready to see our act of kindness come to fruition. We headed down to the Boys and Girls Club of Truckee Meadows where we gave out 100 new winter coats to the children there. Celebrating with the amazing teachers and staff as each child picked up their new coat.

It was an honor to help in this way and we loved seeing their faces light up as they received their new jackets. We truly hope the coats come in handy during the winter months and help the burden of this time to feel a bit lighter for these kiddos and their families!

Now, it is our turn to challenge another three businesses and keep the movement forging on! Click HERE to find out who is up next!

About the Campaign
The #BeALightCampaign was started by the Caldwell Night Rodeo team located in South West Idaho. Caldwell has challenged around 45 individuals or businesses so far. Those 45 have turned around and challenged another three each and the Campaign keeps on spreading.

People are buying each other’s coffees and meals. People are working to make sure that children in their communities have warm socks and coats. People are leaving huge tips for hard working restaurant staff. And the examples go on and on.

“The point being is the gesture can be big or small, but the mission remains the same: bring a smile to someone’s day……..and thank you to Reno for accepting the challenge! ?” said the Caldwell Night Rodeo Sales & Marketing Manager Nicole Cassity.

Stepping up to intentionally brighten someone’s day is not a novel idea, but it is something that we desperately need right now. So, we invite you to join the challenge and join the #BeALightCampaign as well.
