In Virginia City they race motorcycles, cars, camels, ostriches and, believe it or not, they race outhouses too!
Racing outhouses has been a long-standing tradition in the historic community of Virginia City. Why, do you ask? Well....when outdoor plumbing was outlawed years and years ago residents of VC were a bit upset. So they took their outhouses to the streets! Today we race to commemorate this act AND because it is a whole lot of fun!
2017 marks the 28th Annual World Championship Outhouse Races held in good ole’ Virginia City!
When: October 7th and 8th
Where: Main drag of Virginia City
Time: 12pm-4pm each day

This outhouse has been a work in progress for weeks by our team at Dolan Lexus. Sounds silly but this project has been a great teambuilding activity for Team Dolan. We look forward to racing together this weekend and hope to see you there!
