In a world where the ever-popular midsize sedan has been overtaken by the compact crossover for family vehicle sales, one might expect a brand like Toyota to shift their focus away from models like the Camry. But that’s not the case. Two years after the debut of the handsome 2015 model, Toyota has rebuilt its all-star sedan from the ground up.

The Camry is a whole different animal, and some of the visual changes are for function as well as form. For example, the new car is an inch lower while the wheel base has been stretched by two inches to aid the more engaging and dynamic driving experience Toyota is promising. Motivation is all-new for 2018, with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder and a 3.5-liter V6 (from the 2017 Highlander). The latest iteration of Entune and an accompanying app suite is also in play.
