Fall is finally here and along with the apple cider, falling leaves, and pumpkin spice comes new dangers to keep out for in your vehicle.

The first thing you’ll want to do is check your battery. Clean, tight and corrosion-free battery connections are important year round, but you really want to check them in the fall. The winter chill makes your batteries work extra hard to get your vehicle started. And you can’t count on warning signs from your batteries, so to make sure you’re not out in the colder longer then you need to be trying to jumpstart your vehicle, we recommend you check your battery on a charging system.

Now no one wants to ride in a cold car, so you will want to make sure you check your heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems are working correctly. With the mild fall weather, it makes it the ideal time to check your air filters, you can pick up a lot of dust and dirt driving around in the summer.

With all the fall rain and winter snow, you’ll want to make sure your wiper blades are in optimal condition. If they’re torn, cracked or don’t properly clean, they should be replaced. It’s a general rule that wiper blades should be replaced every 6 months.

With all the leaves on the ground and soon to be ice and snow, you want to have your breaks checked. We all know just how critical to your safety they are, especially with the dangers that fall and winter add to the roads. So it’s best to have them checked before the fall and winter roadway dangers become a reality.
