Lexus established the luxury crossover category nearly 20 years ago, and its models continue to command a loyal following. Now in its fourth generation, the automaker's trademark SUV, the RX350, has received a redesign for 2016. New York Times auto critic Tom Voelk recently spent some time behind the wheel of the new 2016 Lexus RX350. Click "play" in the video clip below to watch his full report.
The previous RX350 design was known as "L-Finesse" within the manufacturer. Voelk suggests the new design might be better referenced as "L-Intense." The new RX is sold with a 3.5-liter V6 (the RX 350) and a hybrid powertrain (the RX 450h). The fourth generation is longer by nearly five inches; the cabin is a bit wider. The F Sport model tested has an even more aggressive look, adaptive suspension and bolstered sport seats.
